High Wycombe-based music tuition for drums, guitar, ukulele, and music theory from £40 per hour

Tom has been teaching music privately and in schools for over eight years. In addition to online and at-home education, he has hosted one-to-one tuition at Hampton High School, St. Joseph's College, Smallberry Green Primary School, and West Ashtead Primary School. Over the years, Tom has had the privilege of working with students from all different backgrounds and ages. Whether for a primary school beginner or a seasoned senior, Tom develops a strong understanding of how best to tailor his lessons to meet the bespoke needs of each tutee.

With a wealth of education and live experience, Tom offers unique, fun, and informative music lessons. Whether you desire casual or graded learning, Tom provides an interactive and engaging lesson plan and a comfortable and creative environment. Those wishing to study academic grades can utilize Tom's knowledge of the Trinity Guildhall, Trinity Rock & Pop, Rockschool, and ABRSM syllabi. Similarly, those looking to jam along to their favourite songs will enjoy Tom's ability to transcribe popular music and offer up-to-date information.

After each lesson, Tom provides a weekly rehearsal planner with tips, tricks, and guidance to improve each week. He also teaches the most essential aspects of music theory to develop his students' broader understanding of music. He has found that even the most music theory-adverse students come away from lessons with a more in-depth understanding of musical communication. To that end, Tom always encourages individual practise regimens and a bespoke rehearsal schedule to gain the best possible results.

Tom always strives to find the most enjoyable and effective learning method for each student. To help this, he offers a free introductory lesson to get acquainted and set out the goals you want to achieve from the very start. Tom strongly believes that an open, dynamic, and welcoming approach to learning is the most beneficial way of achieving continuous improvement and a bright and enduring interest in music.

Really enjoyed my first lesson with Thomas. As a complete novice, he articulated things really well in a way that I understood. In turn I was able to pick it up fairly quickly.

Would definitely recommend booking some lessons with him if you’re interested in learning drums.
Thanks again, looking forward to booking more lessons in the future.
